Well, I finally managed to spend some more time on my black metal project and I was able to pre-finish two songs, one of them being the longest of my entire back catalogue.
Both have a slightly folkish vibe to them, but are still firmly rooted in my beloved Hellenic sound (of course). The shorter track is going to be called "Liberation of the Chosen One" and the long one might probably turn out to be the title track for my project - so it's gonna be about the actual "Shores of Sheol" - lyricalwise.
I will keep you informed about the material's status - and will also upload new songs when they are done.
PS: I'm also in negotiations with a Greek black metal band, concerning a split-release of some sort, but more info on that later.

Some of my favourite bands will be there although the main reason I'm going is, of course, Rotting Christ.
Can't fucking wait! I'll take pics.

Well well, so I've tried a few new recording methods and played with a more dense mastering and I like how it's turning out so far. At least, I finally managed to add a real bass-tone to the tunes (no more synth bass, actual instrument) and I also killed all clipping that was still evident in the "raw cuts" i released here on NG.
Anyway, the two tracks I finished now are "Worship the Beast" and "Reborn" and I've started working on a two-part song which will hopefully be the highlight of my next release. I've been studying some ancient, occult themes & stories from old books, as well as historical backgrounds of various mythological creatures, gods and demigods, as I'm trying to step up the lyrical output a few notches.
The song will be called "Eternal Sin - The Great Conquest" and will most likely deal with mystical battles of human and non-human nature. I'll put all my energy into this one, so I hope it will work out. One warning - it's gonna be a long track!
I'll be keeping you guys up to date if you want to and I'd be glad if you'd listen to that stuff when I release it ;)
Regards
Goatchrist

I'm also thinking of re-recording the best tracks of the last demo and then I might create my desired professionally-pressed demo after all - with better quality than the previous output. We'll see.
I'll keep you updated, NG.

Posted by Goatchrist Sep. 1, 2007 @ 9:14 PM EDTMy upcoming Shores of Sheol demo "Forlorn Realms" is almost finished. I've been up all day to work on it and I'm very satisfied with the result.
Check out the new song "Acheron" in the Audio Portal.
I'll do a professional CD release of "Forlorn Realms" in the near future, so stay tuned for further information.
Cover art:

You can find a new song titled "The Return to Gaia" from my upcoming black metal demo "Forlorn Realms" in the audio portal - the song should be visible on my userpage.
Enjoy and review!

I'm currently working on new material, so if anyone is interested in hearing it, just post here and I'll see what I can do. I'm going to post some of the new stuff on the audio portal in the future.
I'm also thinking of a professional pressing for the first time, but that's still rather far away.
The new material is nowhere near the final recording stages yet, but I'm trying to do my absolute best - and it seems to work out so far.
My prior stuff can be found here: myspace
Stay tuned!
